This is Costa's favorite beverage right now. I use both the cardamom pods and ground cardamom for extra cardamom flavor, but it will turn out fine if you only have one type on hand. You can just increase the quantity a little bit.
Using the flat side of a knife, carefully smash the cardamom pods so they open up slightly.
In a small sauce pan, pour the almond milk and water. Add the cardamom pods, cinnamon, ground cardamom, and vanilla (if using). Heat on medium until almost boiling.
Turn the heat off and add the tea bag. Let steep for 5-7 minutes.
Strain the mixture to remove all the pods, seeds, etc. Stir in honey to taste. If you like, you can hit it with an immersion blender to get a little foam on top.
