These warmer days make me want spicy tacos and cold beer. Here is a simple and delicious recipe for ground turkey tacos. The homemade spice blend is much better for you than using store bought taco seasoning. Finish it with the toppings of your choice.
Heat the oil in a large saute pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook until onion becomes translucent. Add the turkey and garlic. Cook, breaking up the meat with the side of a spoon, just until meat is cooked through, about 5 minutes.
Stir in chili powder, cumin, chipotle powder, sea salt, and tomato paste and cook for 1 minute. Add the chicken broth and simmer, stirring occasionally, until liquid becomes thick and clings to meat.
Prepare the toppings of your choice for taco assembly.
Warm your flour or corn tortillas, and let each person assemble their taco as they like. Enjoy!
