Description

Anyone who has headed out to Palm Springs or Coachella for the weekend, has probably stopped for the famous Date Shake from Shields (or at least heard of it). While delicious, it is definitely not healthy, so I set out to create a healthier take on this classic shake. Watch out, this one is pretty addictive. 

Get Started
Step 1

Place the cashew milk, coconut milk, dates, vanilla powder, sea salt, and lemon juice in a blender.

Add ice and blend until creamy, still allowing some little bits of date to float around.

Makes 1 shake.

  • 1/2 cup homemade cashew milk or nut milk of choice
  • 1/2 cup canned full fat coconut milk, shake the can before adding
  • 4-5 dates, pitted (depends on how sweet you want it)
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup ice
